The Coalition of Distinguished Language Centers conducts annual conferences about teaching to and reaching Level 4 (near-native)
proficiency. Each fall, a workshop is held at Howard University: this workshop is devoted to teaching practices and hands-on training
for teaching and learning to Level 4. Demonstrations of Level 4 proficiency are a part of each conference.

Directions:
- Metro: Green Line to Howard University Stop, walk north on Georgia Avenue about five long blocks past Howard Hospital, turn right on Howard place and through the gates to Locke Hall, where sessions will take place. Keynote address will be in auditorium in Blackburn, next door to Locke.
- Alternatively, when entering metro get bus transfer and pick up northbound Georgia Ave. bus outside of metro station - it will cost 25 cents in addition to the transfer ticket.
- By car: parking should be available in all university lots.
